This video is a distillation of a common vision of possible urbanity (as continuous edifice, monument and fortress), from nine science fiction films. This depiction of the city as overcrowded, overbuilt yet beautifully dystopic is an extrapolation of contemporary problems of urban development and city planning and illustrates the genre at it's best, as the herald of doom.
